Ingredients
Yam - 250 g
Cooked redgram dhal - 1 cup
Shallots / Small onions - 100g
Garlic - 5
Coconut milk - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - few
Salt - to taste
Tamarind - lemonsize
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Coconut oil - few
Curry leaves - few
To grind:
Bengalgram dhal - 1 teaspoon
Corriander seeds - 2 teaspoon
Red chillies
Preparing Method
1. Peel, wash and cook into yam and mash it
2. Heat the oil in a pan and add the chopped and garlic and fry it
3. Add the mashed yam, tamarind concentrate, turmeric powder and mix well
4. When it starts boiling add the ground powder and cook well
5. When you get the cooked smell add the cooked dhal and coconut milk and remove from flame
6. Saute with mustard and curry leaves
