Ingredients
Basmati rice
Onion - 1
Tomato - 3
Ginger garlic paste - 1-tabspoon
Green chillies - 2
Mint leaves - 1bunch
Coriander leaves - 1bunch
Chilli powder - 1/2teaspoon
Coconut milk - 1/2cup
Salt - to taste
Ghee - 1-tablespoon
Oil - 2-tablespoon
Cinnamon - 2
Cardamom - 2
Cloves - 2
Preparing Method
1. Finely chop the onions & tomates and cut the chillies lengthwise
2. Wash the rice & soak in 1/2 of coconut milk & 3/4 cup of water
3. Heat the oil & ghee together in a pan and add the cinnamon, cardamom & cloves
4. When they splutter add the onions & chillies
5. When the onions are fried, add the tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, mint leaves & coriander leaves. Fry them until the oil separates
6. To this add the soaked rice along with coconut milk
7. Add enough salt & mix well & closethe cooker
8. Cook for one whistle & remove from flame after 15 minutes
9. Mix without mashing the rice slowly & serve Tomato pulav with onion raita.
