Tomato Kurma Ingredients
Onions - 2
Tomatoes - 5 or 6
Green Chillies - 2
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Oil - 2 tablespoon
Salt - to taste

To grind:
Coconut (grated) - 1/4 cup
Ginger - 1" piece
Garlic - 4 pieces
Aniseed - 1/2 teaspoon
Poppy seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Roasted Red gram dhal - 1 tablespoon

Tomato Kurma Preparing Method
1. Chop the onions and the tomatoes
2. Soak the poppy seeds for 10 minutes before grinding. Grind all the ingredients said above for grinding into a fine paste
3. Heat the oil in a pan, add the green chillies and onions. Fry them until the onions become golden brown
4. Add tomatoes, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and fry them.
5. When the tomatoes become juicy, add the ground paste and garam masala
6. Mix well and when it thickens remove from flame. Serve Tomato Kurma with Chappati, roti, naan, etc., as a side dish. Try Caulifower chops which is also a suitable side dish for Chapathi.
