Semolina uppuma is simple and easy to prepare recipe. This may be called as bachelors recipe and is recommended to serve Semolina hot.

Ingredients
Semolina - 1 cup
Hot water - 3 cups
Mustard Seeds - 1 teaspoon
urad dhal -1 tea spoon
Onion Chopped - 1
Ginger finely chopped- 1/4 inch
Green chillies chopped - 2
Carrot chopped - 1
Beans chopped - 6
Salt to taste
Oil -3 tablespoon

Preparing Method
1. Heat a thick bottom sauce pan and fry (without oil) the semolina it for 2 min. Stir it continuously, otherwise it will get charred. Put the semolina a plate to cool. This is done so that the semolina will not get lumped.
2. Heat oil in a thick bottom sauce pan. Add mustard seeds, urad dhal leave it to splutter.
3. Then add chopped onions, green chillies, ginger. Fry it till onion turns golden brown
4. The vegetables can be added and cook it for 5 minutes.
5. Add hot water and salt. Now add semolina slowly with continuous stirring until it gets mixed properly.
6. Close it with the lid and cook it for 2 -3 min. Open and mix it properly and serve hot. Pickles, sugar& ghee, curd are suitable side dishes
