Basmati rice - 1 cup
Onion - 1
Cumin seeds(Jeera) - 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon - 1
Ghee - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 1 teaspoon
salt - to taste
Jeera Rice preparing method:
1. Wash and soak the basmati rice in 1 + 1/2 cup of water.
2. Chop the onions into thin long slices.
3. Heat the ghee and oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and cinnamon.
4. When they splitter add the onions and fry till it becomes golden brown.
5. Add the rice along with water and transfer it to pressure cooker.
6. Cook for 1 whistle or 10 minutes in sim flame.
7. Serve the hot Jeera Rice with onion raita.
