Dhal - Side dish for chappathi

Green gram dhal - 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Onion - 1
Tomato - 2
Green Chillies - 2
Garlic - 5
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Coriander leaves - few
To saute
Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Oil - 2 teaspoon
Curry leaves - few
salt - to taste
Dhal Preparing Method:
1. Chop onions, tomatoes and garlic.
2. Cut the green chillies
3. Cook the green gram dhal with turmeric powder until it gets cooked
4. Add the chopped vegetables, salt and enough water to cook
5. Heat the oil in a pan to saute. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds. When it splutters, add it to the dhal.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves and lemon juice and serve with chappathi.
Dhal is vegetarian recipe generally liked by all and can be served for chappathi as a side dish.
