Chettinad Tomato Curry

Ingredients
Raw tomato - 200gm
Redgram dhal - 1/2 cup
Small onions - 10
Green chillies - 4
Tamarind - 2 tab.sp
Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
Mustard - 1/2 teaspoon
Urad dhal - 1/2 teaspoon
Fennelseeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Oil - 2 teaspoon
Curry leaves - few
Preparing Method
1. Wash & cook the red gramdhal with water & turmeric powder in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles
2. Finely chop the tomatoes, onion & green chillies
3. Heat the oil in the pan & add the mustard, used dhal & fennel seeds, onion & green chillies
4. Fry for few minutes & add the tomatoes and salt & fry nicely
5. Add the tamarind paste & cook for few minutes until raw smell goes off
6. Then add the cooked dhal & curry leaves allow it to cook for 5 minutes & serve this can be served with rice & chapatis
