Bread Puttu Ingredients
Bread crumbs - 2 cups
Jaggery - 3/4 cup
Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
Grated coconut - 3/4 cup
Cashewnuts - 8-10
Raisens - few
Ghee - 7-8 teaspoons
Bread Puttu Preparing Method
1. Cut the dry ends of the bread, sprinkle little water and smash them. If the bread is too dry soak them in water, squeeze and then mash
2. Now heat the saucepan with 3-4 teaspoons of ghee and fry the bread till dry
3. Then heat half cup of water in a saucepan and add jaggery. Make it into thin syrup. Filter it in a sieve to remove dirt
4. Add the grated coconut to it and continue stirring till it becomes thick
5. Remove it from flame and the bread crumbs and stir well
6. Fry the cashewnuts & raisins in in the ghee and add it to the puttu along with cardamom powder to add some aroma and flavour to the breakfast recipe.
