Bread Karaputtu Ingredients
Bread crumbs - 2 cups
Red gram dhal - 1/2 cup
Bengal gram dhal - 1/2 cup
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Salt - to taste
Green Chilies - 7-8
Oil - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves - few
Asafetida - 1/2 teaspoon

Bread Karaputtu Preparing Method
1. Cut the dry ends of the bread, sprinkle little water and smash them. If the bread is too dry soak them in water, squeeze and then mash
2. Soak the red gram dhal and bengal gram dhal and grind them coarsely with green chillies, salt and asafetida
3. Then steam the ground dhal for 10 - 15 minutes
4. Heat the oil in a saucepan and add mustard seeds, black gram dhal and curry leaves
5. Add the soaked dhal & mix them evenly. Then add the bread crumbs and stir properly
6. Lime Juice can be added to Bread Karaputtu according to taste
