Ingredients
Bittergaurd - 2 ( medium size)
Red gram dal - 1/4 cup
Green gram dhal - 1/4 cup
Tamarind concentrate - one inch
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Tomato - 2 big
Mustard - 1/4 teaspoon
Asafeotida -1/4 teaspoon
Red chillies - 2
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 2 tsp
Curry leaves - 6-8 leaves

Preparing Method
1. Cook the dhal in a pressure cooker
2. Heat the saucepan with oil, add mustard seeds and when they splutter add asafoetida, red chillies, curry leaves and tomatoes
3. Then add bittergaurd, tamarind concentrate, chilli powder and salt. Add enough water and allow it to cook
4. When the bittergaurd gets cooked, add the cooked dhal, stir well and cook for 5 minutes
5. Serve with rice and pappad.
