Ingredients
Ladies finger - 100g
Tamarind - lemonsize
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Buttermilk - 1 cup
Red Chilli - 7
Fenugreek seeds - 1 teaspoon
Blackgram dhal - 2 teaspoon
Asafeotida - 1/4 teaspoon
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric - little
Mustard seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Corriander leaves - few
Curry leaves - few
Preparing Method
1. Cut the ladies finger into small pieces
2. Soak the tamarind and collect the tamarind concentrate
3. Heat half teaspoon of oil in a pan and fry the red chillies, fenugreek, blackgram dhal till golden brown
4. Add the grated coconut to this and grind it to a paste in a mixie
5. Heat the remaining oil in pan and add mustard seeds and when it splutters add ladies finger
6. Keep frying and add asafeotida
7. Then add tamarind concentrate, turmeric powder and salt one by one and mix well
8. When you get the cooked smell add the ground paste and stir well
9. When it starts boiling, switch off the flame. Garnish with corriander leaves and serve with rice
