Adai Dosai Ingredients
Par boiled Rice - 1 Cup
Bengal Gram dhal - ¼ Cup
Red gram dhal - ¼ Cup
Black Gram dhal - ¼ Cup
Green Gram dhal - ¼ Cup
Red Chilies - 8 - 10
Green Chilies - 6 - 8
Onions, Chopped finely - 4 large
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Asafoetida - A pinch
Salt - to taste
Oil for roasting
Adai Dosai Preparing Method
1. Soak the dhal and rice for 2 hours
2. Grind the chillies, cumin seeds, salt first in a wet grinder
3. Then add the soaked dhal and rice to it and grind it to a coarse batter
4. To the batter add the coriander leaves, chopped onions, curry leaves and asafoetida. Mix well and pour it in the tava
5. Add 1 teaspoon full oil for one adai. Toast it in sim flame. Turn it and toast the other side also. Place a spoon of butter and close the dosai into semi circle
6. Serve with coconut chutney and jaggery. This adai dosai is a South Indian special recipe. This dosai unlike others need not be fermented. That saves time
