Fish Curry

There are different variations (flavors) of fish curry recipes prepared in different parts of India. The fresh fish curry is common sea food recipe you can find along the malabar coast line (Kerala and Goa) in India. Indian Fish Curry is served with rice, chappathi and even with idli & dosai. Fish Curry Ingredients
Seer fish - 6 pieces
Tomatoes - 2 chopped
Small onions - 3/4 cup sliced
Green chillies - 2
Ginger garlic paste - 2 teaspoon
Coconut - 1 cup grated
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Red chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Oil - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves - few

Fish Curry Preparing Method
1. Extract the first and second milk from coconut separately....preparation of coconut milk
2. Put oil in a pan and add chopped ginger and garlic. Fry for a while
Add sliced onions, slit chillies add curry leaves. Fry until the onions are soft
3. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder and coriander powder. Fry for a few seconds and add chopped tomatoes. Add salt and fry again
4. Add second milk from the coconut
5. When it starts boiling, add cleaned fish pieces. Allow it to cook for some time, 5-10 min
6. When it is done, add the first coconut milk. Stir very carefully, because the fish pieces will break
7. Remove immediately from flame and serve

Fleshy Grass Carp, Rohu, Pomfret (Sea fish), Tilapia (fresh water fish) varieties are common fish varieties used in preparing fish (Meen) curry. This delicious fish curry recipe can taken by ulcer patients also when the chillies are added in low quantity.
