Chicken Biriyani is a very special non-vegetarian chicken recipe made for all occasions in South India. This rich spicy recipe is made of Basmati rice, Chicken and spices from India.

Chicken Biriyani Ingredients
Basmathi rice - 3 cups
Oil - 4 tablespoons
Cinnamon - 3-4
Cardamon - 2
Cloves - 4-5
Marinade:
Chicken - 1/2 Kg
Curd - 2 tablespoon
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Chilly powder - 3 teaspoon
Tandoori masala powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
To Grind:
Onions - 4
Green chillies - 10
Garlic - 12
Ginger - 1 inch
Tomatoes - 3
Chicken Biriyani Preparing Method
1. Mix chicken meat in the above ingredients and keep aside (preferably in a Fridge) for about an hour to marinate
2. Soak Basmathi Rice 3 cups in cold water for about 30-40 minutes
3. Grind all of the above to a smooth paste
4. Heat oil in a cooker and add 4 cloves, cinnamon sticks, 2 cardamom, and fry well
5. Add the ground paste and fry well till oil seperates
6. Then add the marinated chicken and fry well. Cover for some time
7. Then add the rice and fry well. Add coriander and mint leaves and cook in the rice cooker. Then add water just enough to submerge the rice and chicken
8. Do not pressure cook as again the rice may overcook. Just steam cook. Rice Cooker is the best. Otherwise just add water, close the pan and cook on low flame till rice is cooked
9. Serve Chicken Biriyani (Biryani) with Onion Raita
