Cashewnut Biriyani - Quick biriyani

Basmati rice - 2 cup
Onion - 2
Cashewnut - 50 g
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seed powder - 1 teaspoon
Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice - 2 tablespoon
Salt - to taste
Ghee - 4 tablespoon
Cashewnut Biriyani Preparation:
1. Wash and cook the basmati rice with 1: 2 ratio water in a pressure cooker
2. Finely chop the onions lengthwise. Heat little ghee in a pan and fry the onion with little salt till it becomes crispy and brown. Keep the fired onions aside
3. Heat the remaining ghee in the same pan and fry the cashewnuts in low flame. While frying take care that the cashewnuts are not charred
4. To this add the garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin seed powder, chilli powder, and mix well
5. To this add the cooked basmati rice, salt and lemon juice and the fried onions. Mix well and serve. This south indian recipe can be favourites for children
