COIMBATORE: The Department of Population Studies and Extension, Bharathiar University, will organise a four-day training programme on social science research methodology and SPSS Package.

Those interested can register by sending in their curriculum vitae to N. Audinarayana, Head, Population Studies, along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000 drawn in favour of Registrar, Bharathiar University, payable at Coimbatore, at the earliest.

Karunya University

The Department of Bioinformatics of Karunya University will organise a ten-day short-term training programme in “Structural and Medical Informatics.”

According to a university release, the programme sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, will begin on February 23.

Aimed at faculty and research scholars, the training will focus on topics like structural bioinformatics, medical informatics, proteomics, genomics, data mining, etc.
