Coimbatore: A theme park has been constructed in Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Perianaickenpalayam based on Indian epics to make the younger generation familiar about the ideas given in the great epics of India.

The inaugural function of the theme park was held recently in the Vidyalaya.

According to the Vidyalaya authorities, in the present situation we can develop values in the minds of the children only by making them respect the ancient values. In this theme park various incidents based on the Ramayana are depicted.

Large size models of the characters have been constructed.

Some of the themes are the story of Sravanan, Adiseshas, breaking of Siva Dhanusu by Rama, Lakshmana Reka, killing of Maricha, Jadayu, Kabandhan, fight between Vali and Sugriva, Hanuman entering Rishya Mukha Parvatha and so on. In addition to this Swings, Boat, Flying, Sliding etc. are also installed to amuse children.

The theme park was inaugurated by Swami Smaranananda, Vice-President of the worldwide Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission in the presence of Swami Atmaramananda, Secretary, Vidyalaya institutions.

This park will be kept open for public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
