Coimbatore: A three-day expo to highlight the machinery to manufacture plastic and ancillary products commenced at the CODISSIA Trade Fair complex here on Friday.

According to M. Ilango, Director, Innovative Trade Fair, the organisers of the event, this is the second time such an expo is being conducted in Coimbatore which could prove a boon for the aspiring entrepreneurs and also those already involved in the industry.

The expo will showcase imported plastic manufacturing machinery, including from China, which are in good condition apart from the ancillary machinery and also the required raw materials.

Those on display would include modern injection moulding machines, modern tool rooms, and machines required to manufacture plastic and rubber items for automobile, engineering, railways, space and defence sectors, besides toys, balloons and dolls.

A number of visitors including engineers and entrepreneurs involved in the plastic sector, architects, interior decorators, defence and aerospace specialists and exporters and importers , both from Tamil Nadu and Kerala, are expected to visit the fair.

It will be on from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.
