No Pilloor water supply for two days
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, Maintenance Division, (Pilloor) has announced stoppage of water supply for two days on January 28 and 29 (Thursday and Friday).
After attending to the maintenance works, pumping of water will begin on January 30 (Saturday) and the water is likely to reach city and tail end areas by Saturday night or Sunday morning.
A release from Pilloor division said that due to widening of the Coimbatore – Tiruchi Road, the water supply line of Pilloor water supply scheme across the Odai near Irugur Pirivu and near Shanthi Gears is being shifted to the extreme boundary of the road.
In addition, the inter-linking works along with some leak-rectification works in the 1,500 mm Pre-Stressed Concrete Clear Water Transmission Main near Kattan hills are proposed to be taken up on the two days.
