Coimbatore: District Collector P. Umanath on Tuesday asked Forest Department and agencies concerned to take steps to develop the two km road to Poochi Marundhoor and the three km road from Nellimarathur to Sethukadai.

This came at a meeting to review the Tamil Nadu Afforestation Project (TAP) and Joint Forest Management Project which was attended by District Forest Officer, I. Anwardeen (Coimbatore), Rajkumar (Social Forestry), Deputy Collector (Televisions), Sreenivasans and Revenue Divisional officer, M. Balachandran. It was informed at the meeting that estimates have been prepared and proposals have been sent for construction of drainage. Collector said arrangements should be made to get financial allocation for construction of group houses in Tholampalayam and Sirumugai panchayats.
