COIMBATORE: Coimbatore District Small Industries' Association will organise Build Intec 2010, a building and construction fair, here from February 19 to 23.

According to association president K. Ilango, the 5th edition of the fair will have 300 stalls and 225 participants. Amit Gossain, associated vice-president (marketing and business development) JCB India, will inaugurate the exhibition. The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Mr. Ilango said loan fairs would be held simultaneously for home buyers and small and medium-scale enterprises. A technical symposium would be organised for engineering students.

About 20 papers would be presented on some of the problems faced by the civil engineering sector and the trends in the sector. Students from 15 colleges would participate. Seminars would be held on February 20 and 22 on: climate responsive architecture and sustainable design, and non-standard and unconventional cooling techniques.

Building materials, technologies, machinery, equipment, green building concepts, furniture, software, publications and landscaping-related products would be displayed at the exhibition that would be held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex.
