Location: It is situated left side of the Coimbatore – Thondamuthur road and east of Selvampathy lake and receives excess water from the Selvampathy lake.

The surplus water from the Selvampathy lake reaches to Kumarasamy lake. The outlet of the tank is connected to Selvachintamani lake. It receives sewage water through many sewage inlets.

In Kumarasamy tank significant Pisciculture is practiced by fishermen society. Average productivity of the lake is 30 to 40 tons per annum. Tilapia, Rohu and Catla are reared in this heavily infected lake and sold cheaply in the local market.
